I am a recent graduate of the University of Southern Indiana, holding a B.S. in History. I take pride in my "history of the common man" approach to understanding our nation's past. My projects zoom in to the ground level and feature one-on-one interviews, individual narratives, and in-depth examinations of primary sources.
Prior to graduation, and beyond my research projects, I was an active member of the campus community. During my Sophomore and Junior year, I served as an officer of SAGA, or the Sexuality and Gender Alliance. My tenure as president saw an 11-fold increase in club membership, and strengthened ties with off-campus non-profit support groups including Matthew 25, Greater Evansville Youth, and PATH4YOU. During my senior semester, I served as president of History Society/Alpha Delta Kappa, a history social club and campus-affiliate of Phi Alpha Theta. My officers and I worked diligently reinvigorating club affairs & creating a virtual community space to better connect student historians.
Beyond academic affairs, I am a resident of Evansville, though my hometown in Noblesville. I've worked a variety of jobs ranging from high ropes rescue to managing a commercial kitchen for Sodexo. I enjoy hiking through rugged back country and crafting new culinary creations in my kitchen.
